What does it involve?
This involves small incision surgery. It consists of the surgical removal of the tumour with minimal scarring.
When is it carried out?
It is indicated for all cases, but, as these tumours are benign, some of them can just be observed and clinically monitored.
Prior examination
A comprehensive eye and eyelid examination.
Before the surgery
Patients should not take anticoagulants or aspirin before surgery.
Surgery
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and, in some cases, sedation.
Risks
There are no significant risks to take into account.
